ABOUT THE JOB
- In Newton, we specialize in the final step of hydraulic hose production: coupled assembly.
- Our process starts with a partially-finished hose that are produced at other Gates plants, where we then cut them to size and attach the metal coupling.
- The Team Lead will assist the supervisor in making sure that hose assembly is flowing smoothly and will help to keep all team members on task. They will spend most of their day lifting, measuring, cutting, and crimping metal couplings onto Gates hoses.

ABOUT YOU
- Must be a current Gates Employee; Good Attendance and Discipline Record
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Must have hose assembly experience
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction
- Basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Temperatures may vary in accordance with weather conditions and may be extreme. Gates is managed in compliance with OSHA guidelines and requires all employees to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
