Key Responsibilities Include:
Management of Personnel:
- Oversee the Stock, Custom, Flagpole and Installation teams. Work closely with team managers to ensure efficiency among teams and identify areas of improvement
- Lead teams effectively by creating a strong, positive culture of guidance and continuous improvement
- Design and implement new processes to improve operational efficiency and create stronger customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with the leadership team (on and offsite) to ensure planning objectives are carried out successfully among teams
- Provide hiring and training support to new team members, as well as on-going performance evaluations and goal-setting for existing team members
- Oversee the quoting of large projects and commercial contracts and municipal bids
- Responsibilities require a familiarity with commercial insurance, prevailing wage, and job costing
- Oversee the scheduling of flagpole and custom installations, removals and service
- Work with vendors to purchase and plan for all required materials and equipment to successfully carry out scheduled jobs
- Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate and maintain pricing for all flagpole inventory
- Oversee the maintenance of our fleet of vehicles including repairs, cleanliness, organization and documentation of incidents
- Maintain the shop and warehouse, including the scheduling, and oversight of ongoing projects
- Stay up to date on industry safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
- Facilitate safety education for team members as needed
- Participate in budgetary planning with the leadership team to support continuous growth
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 5 years of proven management experience
- 5 years experience in operations, preferably construction-related field
- Experience in reading and implementation of contractor bids & contracts
- General knowledge of industry regulations regarding safety, payment and best practices
- Strong leadership, excellent problem solving and clear communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM and Accounting Packages (SAGE preferred)
- Ability to manage people and logistics efficiently
