Gatesource HR is seeking a dedicated and skilled Geologist to join our client's dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a challenging exploration environment, conducting detailed geological and geotechnical core logging to support mining projects.

- Conduct geological and geotechnical logging of drill core with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collect, record, and synthesize geological data in a precise and organized manner.
- Ensure drill core is properly cleaned, sample labels are accurate, and core photographs meet company standards.
- Select representative core samples following established company protocols.
- Provide support for field and drilling operations as required.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology (required).
- 1-3 years of experience in geological and/or geotechnical drill core logging.
- Experience with acQuire software is a plus.
- Strong background in detailed core logging and documentation, preferably in gold deposits.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience in a remote exploration camp is preferred.
