What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Workers-Maintenance position at Gatesville Ind Sch Dist?
Maintenance Department (2 positions-Current staff or GISD students 16 and over)
Responsible for providing support for district maintenance staff and custodial including, but not limited to, moving furniture, cleaning classrooms, help with school grounds, moving textbooks, painting, or any other jobs assigned. Perform assigned work following established policies and procedures. There will be extensive outdoor work including weed eating. Required to help with refinishing of floors where assigned. Will work four 10 hr. days, Monday-Thursday each week employed.
Job Requirements
- Education/Certification/Other:
- Must be 16 years of age
- GISD staff or current student/GISD graduate
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Subject to assignment
- Prior year experience with district considered
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa in the United States required
