Are you passionate about culinary arts and eager to inspire the next generation of chefs, bakers, and food industry professionals? Gateway Academy is seeking a dedicated Family and Consumer Sciences Instructor to join our dynamic Career and Technical Education Team.
The selected candidate will work in a two-teacher Culinary Department, educating high school scholars on fundamental and advanced culinary skills, catering large-scale event, and preparing scholars for ServSafe Certification. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by equipping scholars with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed for success in the foodservice and hospitality industries.
Applicants may qualify through one of the following routes:
- Traditional Certification: Hold a valid FACS teaching certification
- Occupation-Based Certification: Have a minimum of four (4) complete years of documented industry work experience in the culinary field and be eligible to complete the Kentucky Occupation-Based Certification process
- All Candidates will need to demonstrate a clean background check to work with high school scholars
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
