Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is essential for efficient delivery operations.
- Ability to operate box trucks, vans, and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with heavy lifting and handling various types of cargo safely is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary for this position.
