About Gateway:
Gateway Fiber is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Planner to oversee inventory management and ensure material resources align seamlessly with construction schedules. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. Gateway provides faster, more reliable internet with a simple pricing model and industry-leading customer service.

Expected Outcomes and Requirements:
This role involves determining material specifications, developing and maintaining supply chain schedules, collaborating with internal departments, and fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Identify material requirements and generate accurate purchase orders to support project schedules.
  • Ensure all materials meet established specifications, quality standards, and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Maintain a consistent and adequate supply of materials to align with construction timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate production goals, timelines, and vendor payments.
  • Monitor production volumes, analyze demand patterns, and track purchasing trends to optimize inventory planning.
  • Schedule and oversee the timely supply and delivery of materials and products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Manage inventory issues, including discrepancies, schedule adjustments, and order cancellations.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and performance reports to support decision-making and budgeting.
The successful candidate will bring the following to the table:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and material management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address supply chain challenges.
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Salesforce is a plus.
