Gateway First Bank is looking for a Secondary Market Product & Pricing Analyst I that has a college degree and some mortgage lock desk exp. This person will be hedging the pipeline, and the role will foster a career path that could take them down the trading route! Excel skills a must, Optimal Blue exp desired but other mortgage loan origination software exp could be considered.

Secondary Market Product & Pricing Analyst I JOB SUMMARY :

Responsible for all aspects of pricing, product development, training, and analytics for the Secondary Market division. This role will facilitate product & pricing communications with multiple internal and external parties. Also responsible for enhancing Secondary Market production volumes, increased revenues, business intelligence, profitability, and increase market share through successful margin management.

Secondary Market Product & Pricing Analyst I ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES) :

Performs margin management with Secondary Market Clients pricing by performing due diligence on both current and historical analysis / trends. Determines loan program pricing adjustments required to profitably capture increased Secondary Market revenue.

Conducts pipeline management and division reporting metrics, including monthly reports, dashboards, and scorecards. Responsible for client performance reporting based on margin management changes and target market share.

Monitors and analyzes volume deficiencies and implements effective plans to improve the performance of Secondary Market client’s market share.

Provides competitive analysis and up-to-date intelligence regarding other Secondary Market aggregator’s by researching products, pricing and guideline changes. Also reports on market changes, Investor & Agency updates along with new underwriting guidelines, in order to discuss the mortgage market in an informed fashion and implement best practices.

Conducts new client on-boarding, including pricing and profile setup. Coordinates all user system activations, training and setup of newly approved clients.

Works as liaison with multiple departs on system updates and integrations for business development including client guide updates and client communications. Completes UAT testing on all system updates / configurations and assess’ system impacts for upcoming changes. Coaches and educates Secondary Market team on workflow / process improvement.

Researches and analyzes Secondary Market volume, performance and delivery trends to assist in capitalizing on potential business opportunities.

Coordinates and communicates pricing information for new product releases to all third-party vendors and / or clients, including Secondary Market sales and operations teams.

Develops, writes, and releases all new product rollouts for Secondary Market division.

Coordinates existing and new product / guideline training to all Secondary Market staff.

Provides on-going service support to Secondary Market clients, sales and operations teams

Manages all relationships with Pricing Engine Partners for timely product development implementation – Optimal Blue, NYLX, Mortech, EllieMae, etc.

Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA / AML, OFAC and GLBA / privacy rules.

Performs other related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Secondary Market Product & Pricing Analyst I REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Knowledge / Skill / Ability

Basic knowledge of Secondary Market Products and Pricing processes, procedures, and practices.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Ability to prepare and deliver concise and understandable reports and presentations.

Ability to create spreadsheets using formulas, macros, and pivot tables

Ability to create and execute sales strategies for different client segments..

Equivalent Education / Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or a related field strongly preferred.

0-2 years of previous sales / customer service and product & pricing experience in the mortgage industry.

Secondary Market Product & Pricing Analyst I SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS :

Work requires up to 10% overnight travel and the ability to communicate effectively with Executive-level and senior management personnel at financial institutions and mortgage companies.
