Work Schedule : Monday - Friday from 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm
Re-Entry Specialist Responsibilities :
Job Requirements :
Advanced communication skills; and demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of public welfare and social services; at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or substance abuse counseling; or equivalent education and life experience, with a minimum of 100 hours documented clinical training in counseling theory and practice.
2 years' prior experience in the substance abuse field, with concurrent case management experience preferred
Current certification or qualification as an alcohol, drug, or substance abuse counselor as required by relevant agency, association, board or commission in State of employment location.
Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to encourage and support clients through often difficult phases of recovery; interact effectively with family members; and develop and maintain effective contacts with outside agencies and referral sources or services.
Analytical abilities necessary to conduct comprehensive assessments identify client needs and available resources, provide comprehensive case management, and complete progress evaluations and related reports.
Typing ability and working knowledge of word processing software in order to complete required forms, reports and correspondence.
Valid local driver’s license, and at least 21 years of age.
