Custom Applicator

Summary

Performs a wide range of duties and services, mainly at Woodlawn Agronomy Location and occasionally other Gateway FS facilities. Primary responsibilities will be the professional application of chemicals, fertilizer, and lime. Other duties shall include, but are not limited to, maintenance, deliveries, operating, and the handling of: seed, chemicals, fertilizer, and petroleum products.

Essential Job Functions

Ø Perform quality custom application of chemical, lime, and fertilizer through the effective operation of custom application machinery and equipment.

Ø Assist in sales and marketing of all products.

Ø Unloading/loading and stacking of fertilizer, seed, feed, and chemical product and packaging.

Ø Operating equipment such as: forklift, loader, trucks, and custom application equipment.

Ø Handle, load, and deliver: Anhydrous Ammonia, dry fertilizer, and chemicals.

Ø Perform housekeeping and maintenance to all equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

Ø Work at various other locations as directed.

Desired Qualifications

Ø High school diploma/GED or a one year minimum of related work experience.

Ø Basic computer skills

Ø Current CDL (Class A preferred), DOT Physical, and Drug Test

Ø Must be willing to work seasonally long hours and overtime when needed.

Ø Physical Demands:

o Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

o Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl for various lengths of time.

o Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
