What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grain Operations Laborer position at Gateway FS Inc?
SUMMARY
Primary responsibility will be providing excellent customer service through the daily operation of grain handling equipment at the Kempers Landing Elevator.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operate grain handling equipment to load barges and unload trucks.
Perform maintenance on equipment
Contribute to cleanliness and clean out of facility.
Work effectively and safely to accomplish goals.
Monitor grain conditions and communicate any potential problems.
Safely operate equipment such as skid steer, tractor, or trucks.
Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work long hours in outdoor condition s (Heat, Cold, Dust, etc..).
Valid Drivers License and ability to obtain Class B CDL, Training Provided
Must be able to handle shoveling, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
Ability to work safety and comfortably at heights and confined spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
