Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist clients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Mental Health Professional will be supervising staff and working with clients in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services program (IRTS).
 
 These community-based residential treatment programs provide integrated care for mental health, medical needs, and substance use in a 24-hour, voluntary inpatient setting for up to 90 days. Positioned just below hospitalization in our community care system, these services support adults requiring a high level of treatment and assistance.
 
 Schedule: Full-Time or Part-time, Monday-Friday, business hours.

 Hiring Range: $$83,200 to $93,600 Annual Salary

Responsibilities: 


 1. Applies clinical diagnostic knowledge and principles to evaluate clients' conditions and urgent needs.
 
 2. Upon the start of services, ensure each client has an initial service plan addressing their immediate health, safety, and preliminary service requirements.
 
 3. Provides counseling to individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions.
 
 4. Develop a Treatment Plan following a comprehensive assessment, which can be modified until services are concluded. The treatment plan must outline goals, specific methods for addressing identified issues, referral resources, and client objectives.
 
 5. Record weekly progress notes or after each treatment service in the client’s file, ensuring they reference the individual treatment plan.
 
 6. Complete a discharge summary within five days after the client’s services are terminated.
 
 7. Ensure client records are consistent in content and format, with all entries signed and dated.
 
 8. Actively contribute to mental health services by offering leadership, sharing clinical expertise with team members, and enhancing the reputation of the services provided.
 
 9. Provide one-on-one supportive counseling, monitor client behavior, and manage physical and emotional symptoms, performing behavioral interventions as necessary.
 
 10. Serve as an advocate to coordinate necessary services or resolve emergencies during crisis situations.
 
 11. Continuously assess clients to ensure that treatment interventions align with their current functioning and needs.
 
 12. Communicate treatment interventions and methods effectively to ensure the plan is implemented as designed.
 
 13. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan, collaborating with the client to make adjustments as needed.
 
 14. Participate in team meetings to communicate client-related information.
 
 15. Attend clinical supervision team meetings as required, providing the team with thorough, timely, accurate, and objective information.
 
 16. Perform additional duties as assigned. Understand and implement 245I Statues!!!
 
 

Qualifications:

  • Qualified as a Mental Health Professional under the requirements of the Department of Human Services (DHS) with a Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field, and licensed as one of the following:
     
    • Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or is a Psychiatric or Osteopathic Physician, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or is working on a clinical license.
  •  
  • A willingness and ability to work with clients receiving intensive residential treatment services (IRTS).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Department of Human Services requirements, policies and procedures for IRTS and 245I statues.
  • Thorough skill reading, writing and conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Willingness to be trained in and implement restrictive procedures within the guidelines of 245I statues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team with staff, clients, clinical providers, and the community through the building and maintaining of collaborative and positive relationships.
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication that is maintained during high-stress and crisis situations.
  • General skill operating standard office equipment and applicable hardware and software.
 

Salary : $83,200 - $93,600
