What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Service Representative (PM Availability) position at Gateway Hotel & Conference Center?
Job Purpose: Ensure efficient and smooth operations for excellent guest satisfaction. Respond in a professional and courteous manner to guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Always greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Perform accurate check-in and check-outs of guests daily
- Answer telephone in a timely fashion
- Make reservations over the phone and in person
- Provide mutually beneficial solutions to guest complaints
- Responsible for a cash float throughout your shift to ensure that everything balances at the end of shift
- Exhibit teamwork throughout all departments of the hotel
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-year hotel experience preferred
- Customer Service experience
- Ability to handle cash
- Open availability preferred, nights and weekend availability are required
