Job Overview:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in diesel engine mechanics or a related field. They should be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair medium and heavy-duty vehicles using specialized testing equipment. Additionally, they will maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform other duties as assigned by the team leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test diesel engines for malfunctions or defects.
- Conduct all levels of preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Test vehicles when necessary to diagnose issues or ensure proper operation.
- Identify warranty repairs and document them properly on the repair order.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred).
- At least 2 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar position (preferred).
- Cummins Certified (preferred).
