Dispatcher - Gateway Limousines Worldwide (Waterbury, CT)
Gateway Limousines, a leading transportation company, is seeking a skilled and professional Dispatcher for our Waterbury, CT location. A high school diploma and a minimum of two years of relevant experience are required. Exceptional communication skills are essential for interacting with our high-demand clientele. Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and manage a fleet of 30 executive chauffeurs, optimizing vehicle utilization and contributing to a high-performing team.
- Prioritize client satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency in all dispatching activities.
- Provide guidance to chauffeurs to minimize delays, expenses, and service disruptions.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the tri-state area and surrounding airports.
- Communicate effectively with chauffeurs, operations management, and the reservations team.
- Foster communication and collaboration between departments.
- Proactively communicate with clients and passengers to manage expectations and prevent potential issues.
- De-escalate challenging situations and resolve customer concerns effectively.
- Manage high call volumes, support reservation efforts, and address after-hours needs (weather events, unexpected surges in demand, and other emergencies).
- On-call overnight availability required 3-4 times per week.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of logistical experience in vehicle dispatching/management (limousines, taxis, trucks, or buses).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with ground transportation reservation software (e.g., Livery Coach, Santa Cruz, Limo Anywhere, Fasttrak) is preferred.
- Valid, violation-free driver's license.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 (depending on experience).
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Sundays and Wednesdays Off. Rotating schedule: Every third Sunday, the shift will be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and the following Tuesday will be off.
- Retirement: MY CT Savings IRA available.
- Vacation: 1 week (upon hire), 2 weeks (after 1-3 years), 3 weeks (after 4 years).
- Sick Time: 1 week accrued.
