Full time position available for an experienced Medical Assistant to work for an Internal Medicine Practice in Upper Marlboro.The job requires a Medical Assistant to be able to work the front and back office, as needed.
Job requirements include, but not limited to:
-Medical knowledge with at least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or physician office setting (apart from internship).
-Computer skills and experience with EHR (e.g. eClinicalWorks)
-Certified Medical Assistant
-Well organized and detail oriented
-Highly motivated
-Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
-Triage patients (obtain vital signs)
-Perform finger stick glucose monitoring, administer injections
-Prepare, file and electronically update medical records, including scanning documents
-Maintain cleanliness of the treatment area, assist in ordering clinical supplies
-Assist in scheduling appointments, answer telephones, prepare-receive faxes and Xerox
-Recognize and initiate approprite measures in emergency situations
