Full Job Description: Diesel Shop Manager/Forman:
We see a Service Manager with prior experience as a Service Manager in a large Diesel Shop and our Auto Shop. This position is more of a hands-on type of role and requires more oversight and top-line management of the flow of the entire shop along with the hiring and development of staff.
The position will require.
5 years of prior Service Manager Background
5 years of Sr Leve Diesel Background
ASE and Certifications are a huge plus.
You will be managing a team of around 5 Mechanics.
Duties will include:
- Managing the equipment maintenance program for our onsite equipment.
- Oversee internal shop operations.
- Welding when needed but not required.
- Maintain parts inventory and ordering.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose repairs and delegate accurate work instructions for repairs when necessary.
Must have knowledge of the following types of equipment:
- Work Trucks and Trailers
- Semi Trucks and Trailers
- Fork Lifts
