Elementary World Language and Culture TeacherPosition Overview: Littleville Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and culturally responsive World Languages and Cultures Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year to introduce students in grades K5 to world languages and global traditions. This educator will inspire curiosity and respect for cultural diversity through language instruction, hands-on projects, storytelling, music, and exploration of global customs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to enrich cross-curricular learning and help students build awareness of their place in a multicultural world.Key Responsibilities: Design and implement engaging lessons that introduce students to one or more world languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, Portuguese) in age-appropriate ways.Create immersive experiences that explore geography, global traditions, celebrations, music, food, art, and cultural practices.Attend to the Massachusetts Foreign Languages Framework, ensuring instruction supports the development of communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities.Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to support interdisciplinary and thematic units.Promote respectful dialogue and global awareness among students.Maintain a classroom environment that is welcoming, safe, and joyful.Communicate regularly with families to share student learning and encourage cultural connections at home.Participate in school events, celebrations, and professional development aligned with our schools mission and instructional vision. Applicants must hold either a current MA DESE Elementary 1-6, or Foreign Language Certification.
