What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chapter 74 Welding Teacher position at Gateway Regional School?
Gateway Regional School District is seeking a Welding Teacher.
Qualified Candidates Must:
Have a MA Vocational Tech License (Welding) (or licensed by August 25, 2025)
Have a Bachelor’s Degree
Have experience teaching in a middle school or high school setting (preferred)
Have experience using, and teaching how to use, equipment
Have knowledge of Chapter 74 programs and the requirements
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Hold an unwavering belief that every student can grow and succeed.
Professional Responsibilities Include:
Teach classes predominantly in high school
Working with community partners on projects
Ensuring students complete their required trainings (OSHA) and hours to complete the program
Collaborate with other vocational teachers and departments.
Participate in assigned duties per the contract.
Attend staff meetings, professional development, required training, and other meetings during the course of the school year.
Collaboration and ongoing communication with families and colleagues
Potentially other duties requested by administration.
Rate of pay: To be determined based on qualifications, experience, and contract.
