Learning Lab Teacher: Gateway Regional School
Gateway Regional School District is seeking a passionate and energetic Learning Lab Special Education Teacher to join a school, committed to high levels of achievement for all students. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated leadership and instructional skills in the area of program development for students with moderate to severe behaviors and disabilities. Our Learning Lab program is a substantially separate program.
Qualified Candidates Must:
Have a MA License for teaching students with Moderate or Severe Disabilities (or licensed by August 26, 2024) Required
Have a Bachelor’s Degree
Have 3 years of experience in a Learning Lab, or similar, program
Experience teaching in a middle school or high school setting (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Hold an unwavering belief that every student can grow and succeed.
Professional Responsibilities Include:
Planning and providing instruction to students in the areas of math, science, social studies, ELA, and social skills. Will work predominantly with students grades 6-8.
Provide ongoing guidance and support for program paraprofessionals.
Liaison is responsible for chairing all annual review Team meetings which includes presenting the IEP draft.
Collaborate with school SAC, administration, nurse, and BCBA to develop and write and implement IEPs.
Participate in assigned duties per the contract.
Attend staff meetings, professional development, required training, and other meetings during the course of the school year.
Collaboration and ongoing communication with families and colleagues
Provide consistent and positive communication with service providers
Potentially other duties requested by administration.
Rate of pay: To be determined based on qualifications, experience, and contract.
