Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients, prepare specimens, give injections, and assist in procedures. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Check in patients, collect copays, and balances. Does prior authorization for tests, surgeries and medications. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. Requires a high school diploma, CMA or RMA, RN, or LPN and 0-2 years of experience in a related field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Located in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
