What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety and Security Supervisor position at Gateway Rehab?
Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an immediate need for a Safety and Security Supervisor who is responsible for coordination of the safety and security function at the assigned program location and supervision of the Safety Monitor. This position supervises the safety and Security monitors.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, records, and files daily safety and security reports.
- Ensures that safety and security staff follow all policies and procedures related to program operations
- Completes daily walk-through inspections of the facility and all patient areas to ensure compliance with program expectations.
- Schedules safety and security event reports including property and visual searches, K-9 searches, etc.
- Completes weekly reviews of the safety and security system, cites deficiencies, and directs safety and security staff to correct deficiencies.
- Prepares the weekly work schedules for safety and security staff.
- Supervises the safety and security staff.
- Trains new safety and security staff and provides ongoing training for current staff.
- Conducts routine meetings with safety and security staff.
- Reviews safety and security staff timecards for accuracy, verifies hours worked are noted correctly, paid time off hours are recorded accurately, timecard is accurate, etc.
- Conducts unannounced visits / walk-throughs to monitor the operation / performance of the facility / program.
- Completes staff performance evaluations and annual training plans in a timely manner for supervisees.
- Intervenes and documents appropriately when an employee demonstrates poor work performance.
- Assists the Regional Director of Security with the site's compliance with regulatory body standards and regulations as related to the safety and security function.
- Provides coverage for the safety and security monitor positions as needed.
- Works with the support staff on special projects related to program operations as needed.
- Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
