Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Program Director, Psychiatrist, and Regional Executive Director of Inpatient Services of the Co-Occurring Program.
- Coordinates admissions, medical records support, tracks utilization review, and scheduling of any medical appointments necessary.
- Schedules psych evaluations and follow up appointments, according to ASAM standards and psychiatrist orders.
- Obtains preauthorization for all medications for the Co-Occurring patients.
- Assists the Psychiatrist in ensuring that patients are ready for their scheduled psych appointment.
- Completes follow up calls for all discharged patients and records data from the follow up call in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Schedules transportation for all appointments and discharges for the Co-Occurring patients.
- Assures that necessary forms are available for the staff.
- Records patient information in the EMR as needed.
- Records minutes at treatment team meetings.
- Maintains inventory of supplies for the staff.
- Attends mandatory GRC training and in-services as required.
