Gateway Rehab has an outstanding opportunity located in Westmoreland, PA for a PRN Safety and Security Monitor who is responsible for the coordination and execution of the patient monitoring and overall building safety in Gateway’s Inpatient treatment programs.
Responsibilities
- Monitors patient movement into and out of the facility.
- Maintains daily logs.
- Maintains knowledge of all facility rules, regulations, and policies
- Conducts safety and security rounds throughout the building.
- Conducts room inspections and complete report of findings daily.
- Conducts property and personal items searches and chain of custody.
- Supports Nursing with visual searches upon admission.
- Conducts patient room searches on a rotating schedule and as needed
- Provides crisis management and patient de-escalation to support clinical staff.
- Supports Counselor Techs with transfers as needed.
- Monitors medication and MAT line to prevent medication diversion.
- K-9 walk-throughs on a rotating schedule in coordination with the Regional Director of Security
- Provides support in the program as needed.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services
- Other responsibilities as determined by supervisors or necessity
