Our client seeks a highly skilled and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and performing tax and audit reviews, as well as providing financial statement attest functions for clients. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and audit processes, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and client relationships.
Responsibilities :
Tax Preparation and Compliance :
Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Review and analyze client financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risks.
Audit and Review Engagements :
Lead and perform audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Attest and Assurance Services :
Perform attest functions for clients, including reviews and compilations of financial statements.
Client Relationship Management :
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
Team Collaboration and Supervision :
Work closely with firm partners and other CPAs on complex projects and client issues.
Firm Development and Growth :
Contribute to the development and execution of firm strategies for business growth and client service improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
CPA certification (required)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, including experience in tax, audit, and financial statement attest functions.
Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and auditing standards.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSystem FX, Proseries, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle client relationships effectively.
Desire to grow professionally within a small firm setting, taking on increasing responsibilities.
