The Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting our organization with the community, and fostering relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship skills as well as familiarity with Community based Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach programs that align with organizational goals and community needs.
- Ensure effective program delivery.
- Collaborate with local organizations, local leaders, and community groups to promote the programs services and connect with the target population.
- Educate the community on available resources related to addiction counseling and other mental health-related topics.
- Monitor and evaluate outreach program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments for improvement.
- Prepare reports on outreach activities and present findings to stakeholders.
- Stay informed about current trends in community based mental health and substance used disorder programs
Experience
- Proven experience in community outreach.
- Background in social work or public health is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling practices and community based mental health is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to educate diverse audiences effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to market programs effectively within the community.
