Job Description
Position : HR / Payroll Administrative Assistant
Summary : The HR / Payroll Administrative Assistant is an integral member of the Gateway Studios & Production Services HR team. This role will have an emphasis in the daily transactional duties including payroll and providing administrative support. The HR Administrative Assistant serves as a reliable source of information and point of contact for employees, promptly answering questions regarding payroll, benefits, and app support etc. This role will report to the HR Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major Responsibilities
1. Payroll & 401k Processing / Compliance
- Administers / processes employee payroll bi-weekly for hourly employees and semi-monthly for salaried employees.
- Process Commissions
- 401k payroll submission / reconciliation and compliance
- Provide team member support with payroll questions, corrections, and updates.
- End of year processes assistance such as w2 previews for accuracy and 401k ERISA census data assistance.
2. Benefits Management
Accrual auditing and monitoringAnnual benefits open enrollment support.Assist with ACA data needs.Provide team member support and resources regarding benefit and 401k questions / needs.3. HR Support Services
Maintain all employee records in compliance with HIPPA laws.Assist HR Director with performance management- discipline / 90day / annual.Assist with monitoring and maintaining departmental email account / survey monkey / suggestion box and newsletter. Respond to employee questions and complaints in a timely professional manner- and escalating to HR Director as needed.Assist with EEOC reporting.Assist with BLS data reporting.4. Talent Management
Assist with recruiting activities including job description development / creation, placing / posting positions, social media outreach, sending correspondence, setting up / conducting interviews, and attending career fairs / community referral source activities.Coordinate and conduct all onboarding and offboarding.New hire I-9 compliance and auditing.5. Attendance
Attendance is an essential requirement for this position.6.. Any Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor

Education / Certificates :
Associate degree in business, human resources or related field required.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience :
Minimum 2 years of human resources experience obtained through full time work and or a combination of related internships / co-op experiences.Skills / Abilities :
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Strong computer literacy and proficient in MS Office Software and HRIS Systems.Self-starter and ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry and record keeping.Understanding of Labor Laws and Compliances.HRIS experience and proficiency.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
