Essential Functions
Major Responsibilities:
Printing, Maintenance & Inventory
- Print, laminate, and cut all Client Case labels, Cable Labels, Service IDs, Gateway Labels, Motor Inspection labels, Lighting Rig Labels, and any other custom order for Gateway and our clients.
- Operate all material handling equipment for projects.
- Maintain all equipment and ensure they are in working order.
- Safeguard vinyl and laminate stock.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and communicate supply need to manager / purchasing coordinator.
- Determine in a cost-effective manner the kinds of tools and supplies needed for projects.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure that all supply records and documents are accurate, promptly updated, and conform to company standards.
- Clean and restore all equipment to meet GSPS standards.
- Execute and follow quality control procedures.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Attendance is an essential requirement for this position.
- To be determined by supervisor on a permanent or project basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma and / or experience working in a related field.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of printing materials.
- Knowledge of production process, quality, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of orders.
- Ability to understand directions written by customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot printer, laminator, and plotter equipment.
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to walk offices and warehouse to determine work order needs for the departments.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to fulfill duties in a timely manner.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work at a consistent pace throughout the shift.
- Frequent manual lifting, up to 50 lbs., depending on equipment available. (50-80% of shift)
- Frequent pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs., depending on equipment available. (50-80% of shift)
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform activities required under essential functions.
- Frequent light grasping and fine motor tasks (65-85% of shift).
- Ability to perform gross body coordination and hand-eye coordination tasks without instability.
- Work on a variety of uneven surfaces installing power cables and lights.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, lift, crawl, twist and move frequently during working hours.
- Frequent standing (65-85%).
- Occasional stair climbing and descending (30% of shift).
- Must be able to see or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately to assure that the essential functions of this position can be fully met.
