SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Finance Accounts Receivable Associate includes, but is not limited to, generating invoice billings from multiple sources, accounts receivable reconciliations and all reporting related to billing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and Maintain Billing Records

Manage departmental billing processes, including creating, maintaining, and updating records.

  • Monitor account activity and follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • General Ledger Analysis
  • Analyze and review general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as state and district policies.

  • Accounts Receivable Reconciliation
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts receivable balances, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.

  • Timely Journal Entry Preparation
  • Prepare, review, and enter accurate and timely journal entries into the accounting system.

  • Additional Responsibilities :
  • Regularly review and optimize processes to eliminate redundancy and enhance overall efficiency.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Associate degree or higher in accounting
  • 3 years of recent occupational experience
  • Other required knowledge, skills and abilities :

  • Ability to apply accurate and effective data entry skills with advanced proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and google applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences at a foundational level.
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities

    Ninety (90) day waiting period before benefits become payable. 66 2 / 3% of salary during period of disability to be reviewed by insurance company at the end of two years. Premium paid by District.

    GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE & DISMEMBERMENT (SYMETRA)

    1,000 of term life per $1,000 of income. Effective the first of the month following date of hire. Premium paid by District.

    WISCONSIN RETIREMENT SYSTEM

    The employer pays 6.5% and the employee pays 6.5% of the shares. Normal retirement benefits are based on a formula for retirement at age 65.

    IRS SECTION 125 PLAN (Employee Benefits Corp.)

    Employee can put pre-tax money into an account to be used toward medical / day care expenses - Flexible Spending Account. Maximum $2,850 for medical; $5,000 for childcare.

    TAX DEFERRED ANNUITY : 403b or 457 are available on a voluntary basis.

    HOLIDAYS : 11 paid holidays per year

    CAMPUS SHUT-DOWN : The campus will be closed between Christmas & New Year's Day.

    SICK LEAVE : 12 days per year cumulative to 180 days.

    PART-TIME EMPLOYEES :

    Part-time employees working 20-39 hours per week will receive pro-rated benefits based on hours worked.

    Part-time employees working 19 hours, or less, per week will receive holiday pay based on the amount of hours worked in the prior quarter and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
