Description
Summary: Gateway Terminals is looking to add to our Supply Chain Team for an exciting Summer Internship. These Summer positions are important and challenging positions, and we are looking for individuals that is highly motivated to assist and support the Operations, Safety and Finance departments on various activities.
Essential Duties:
- Assist/Support Operations and Safety departments daily.
- Participate in weekly operations planning meetings.
- Assist with vessel and safety operations daily.
- Assist in process and procedure documents for critical operational functions.
- Assist the Operations and Safety team with reporting of departmental objectives.
- Interface with the Union Labor daily on operational targets.
- Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis.
- Assist business planning team with various forecasting and analysis as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, occasional sitting.
- The ability to climb up and down stairs, ladders, and equipment multiple times within a shift.
- Requires physical ability to work on a ship and in a yard.
- The ability to use a computer/keyboard.
- The ability to work in changing hot and cold climates based on weather conditions.
- The ability to work in an environment with moving objects and machinery.
- The environment may be hazardous to persons unable to see or hear fast moving heavy equipment.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):
- Undergraduate or graduate business student with/or pursuing major in Supply Chain Management.
- Solid analytical skills and self-motivated.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Candidate to work an estimated 20-25 hours per week • Minimum 3.0 GPA
