What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Medical Assistant - Guest Service Specialist position at Gateway Urgent Care?
The guest service specialist is responsible for the general office upkeep such as scanning, making copies, filing, and phone management as well as managing patient intake to maintain the balance between efficiency and compassionate patient care. Additionally, our guest service specialist needs to be a team player and be willing to look for ways beyond listed job responsibilities to improve clinic functionality. Back office medical assistants with front office experience are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
· Able to type 45 WPM or more
· Customer service/ professionalism
· Basic understanding of insurance and medical billing
· Taking and making patient phone calls
· Checking patients into EMR
· Scanning documents into EMR
· HIPAA
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365
Experience/ Education:
· One- two years proven experience at the front desk
· High school diploma
Schedule:
· Typical shift 12 hours Mon-Fri and 7 hours on weekends
· Average of 32-36 hours per week for full time; minimum 24 per week part time
· Must have flexibility for days, weekends, evenings and holidays
