Position Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) Medication Aides to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and assist with administering medications in accordance with regulations and facility policies. This position requires a 40-hour Medication Aide certification and the flexibility to work on an on-call basis to meet the needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Assist with meal service, feeding, and hydration needs as required.
- Administer medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policies (requires 40-hour Med Aide certification).
- Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting changes to nursing staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of care and medication administration.
- Support residents’ emotional and social well-being, fostering a comfortable and respectful environment.
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive resident care.
- Respond to resident call lights and assist as needed in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Nebraska is required.
- 40-hour Medication Aide in the state of Nebraska required.
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to caregiving.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
