Job Location : Normandie Village - Los Angeles, CAPosition Type : Full TimeSalary Range : $29.28 - $33.41Title of Position : Forensic ClinicianExempt / Non-Exempt : Non-ExemptUnion / Non-Union : UnionSupervisor : Assistant Director FRSOrganization Overview : Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, located in Los Angeles, is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive mental health services for Children, Adolescents, Transitional Aged Youth, and Adults suffering from mental illness in the Greater Los Angeles area.SUMMARY OF POSITION : The Forensic Clinician must have an MSW, MA / MS, PhD, or PsyD from an accredited university and be license eligible. Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy, case management services to an adult forensic population, and timely documentation of all services provided.ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical charts with timely completion of all required documentation.Provide full services to an assigned caseload, including individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy.Implement and manage treatment planning needs of assigned client caseload.Provide on-call coverage for emergency consultation and intervention outside of regular work hours.Participate in assigned program, treatment planning, and in-service training meetings.Maintain a professional relationship with clients and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team.Communicate effectively with clients, their family members, and relevant community agencies.Respond appropriately under difficult or stressful circumstances.ESSENTIAL SKILLS : Knowledge of mental status examinations and current diagnostic manual.Experience with individual and group treatment for various psychopathologies.Ability to function as a primary therapist and member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.EDUCATION & CERTIFICATES : Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences or related area from an accredited university.EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS : Knowledge of medications and clinical experience in individual or group treatment.Eligible for licensure ASW or AMFT according to WIC 56600.2.REQUIREMENTS : Must pass DOJ, FBI, and CCL background clearance.Valid California Driver’s license.TB clearance.Fire and Safety Training.First Aid and CPR Certification.Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to carry out all essential functions successfully with reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.Must be able to lift and / or move unassisted up to 25 pounds.#J-18808-Ljbffr
