Job Description

We seek a dedicated and driven Sales Development Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for outbound and inbound sales activities to generate leads, conduct product demos, close deals, generate revenue, and build lasting relationships with clients. You will play a key role in spreading awareness of Gather's solutions to funeral homes in the market and increasing Gather’s customer base. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Work to report on, achieve, and exceed sales targets and quotas. 
  • Engage in inbound and outbound prospecting (including social media) to identify potential clients.
  • Schedule and execute product demos with prospective funeral homes to identify needs.
  • Actively follow up and guide prospects through the sales cycle and account setup. 
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our CRM (all phone calls will be recorded). 
  • Attend and set up for 2-10 trade shows on an annual basis. 
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and promote Gather’s mission and products. 
  • Meet strict deadlines and respond in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster customer loyalty and retention. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize outreach and lead-generation activities.
  • Collaborate with the customer success team to optimize strategic account pass-offs. 
  • Collaborate with Gather’s product development team to provide product feedback. 
  • Attend free webinars and listen to industry materials to remain familiar with the market.


Qualifications

You love helping people and have proven sales experience, preferably in SaaS. You’re not afraid of a challenge and you enjoy solving difficult problems. You are efficient, detail-oriented, and hard-working. You enjoy learning new technologies and are always looking for new and better ways to solve problems and improve workflows using technology. The right candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly. 
  • Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively and take ownership of your assignments.
  • A knack for following detailed instructions and providing quality assurance before closing deals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
