They are looking for highly motivated box truck drivers with at least three years’ experience to help test and improve the performance of the company's driverless 26-foot-long box trucks in running local routes in the greater Sherman area to transport dry and refrigerated cargo, obtain data, provide feedback to engineering teams and nurture strong customer relationships.Gatik is leading the way in autonomous middle-mile delivery that addresses true pain points for the retail industry. Apply now!As an Autonomous Vehicle Operator, you will:Safely operate 26ft (or longer) box trucks along local Sherman area routes for on-time deliveries to retail customers. NOTE: the vehicles are currently being driven in manual mode with the aim of moving toward autonomous operations.Support Gatik’s customers and teams by acting as an ambassador for the company and being a versatile team member who communicates effectively on Slack, tracks and reviews job-related data, and performs ad-hoc projects as needed.Take care of your assigned state-of-the art vehicle by keeping it clean, performing daily safety checks (e.g., monitoring fluid levels, checking tire pressure and hose connections), and notifying the team for repair as needed.
