Founded in 2017 by experts in autonomous vehicle technology, Gatik has rapidly expanded its presence to Mountain View, Dallas-Fort Worth, Arkansas, and Toronto. As the first and only company to achieve fully driverless middle-mile commercial deliveries, Gatik holds a unique and defensible position in the AV industry, with a clear trajectory toward sustainable growth and profitability.
We have delivered complete, proprietary AV technology - an integration of software and hardware - to enable earlier successes for our clients in constrained Level 4 autonomy. By choosing the middle mile – with defined point-to-point delivery, we have simplified some of the more complex AV challenges, enabling us to achieve full autonomy ahead of competitors. Given extensive knowledge of Gatik's well-defined, fixed route ODDs and hybrid architecture, we are able to hyper-optimize our models with exponentially less data, establish gate-keeping mechanisms to maintain explainability, and ensure continued safety of the system for unmanned operations.

What you'll do
- People Strategy & Culture – Develop and execute a high-impact people strategy that drives business objectives, reinforces our demanding yet supportive culture, and ensures extreme alignment across the organization.
- Employee Experience & Engagement – Build initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Management & Development – Implement rigorous performance review processes, career development programs, and training initiatives that drive excellence, growth, and high performance at all levels.
- HR Policies & Compliance – Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations (EEO, Wage & Hour, FMLA, etc.). Develop, maintain, and enforce employment policies and handbooks, ensuring adherence to best practices and a fair, high-performance work environment.
- Compensation & Benefits – Design and refine competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent in a high-intensity, mission-driven environment.
- Leadership & Coaching – Act as a trusted advisor to executives and managers, providing strategic guidance on people-related challenges and fostering strong leadership across the organization.
- HRIS Implementation & Optimization – Lead the implementation and continuous optimization of an HRIS to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data-driven decision-making.
- Minimum of ten years of Human Resources and related experience, with progressive management and leadership responsibility
- Proven track record in a senior People leadership role, preferably in a high-growth, high-performance, and mission-driven environment.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align people initiatives with business goals in a fast-paced, execution-focused company.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices in both the US and Canada.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment and influence at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a demanding, results-driven environment where individuals are expected to take initiative and complete things with urgency.
