Gator Bio is a venture-backed biotech company located in Palo Alto, CA. We are creating innovative technologies to solve difficult problems facing today’s healthcare industries. We develop, manufacture and market instruments, biosensors, reagents, and consumables for in-vitro diagnostics and biotherapeutic development. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our team. The Purchaser will be responsible for managing our procurement process and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for the company's operations.
\n- Follow procurement policies and procedures to place order from vendors.
- Request quotes, negotiate prices, and maintain relationships with existing vendors.
- Collaborate with departments to identify procurement needs and specifications for goods and services.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and vendor information.
- Work with Finance Team to ensure that purchases are properly accounted for and processed for payment.
- Provide help and support to Finance Team as needed.
- High School degree with experience in supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- This role will require lengthy periods of standing and sitting.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- The employee will be required to use hands for computer work
Salary : $30 - $35
