The Gator Bowl Sports internship program is designed to offer hands-on experience in and around the sports industry. Interns will assist in various day-to-day operations of the organization including Gator Bowl Sports, Gator Bowl Charities and the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. This is the perfect role to work in a fast-paced environment while learning the ins and outs of the industry.
Company Description
Gator Bowl Sports, based in Jacksonville, is the parent company to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and Gator Bowl Charities. The company is well-known for organizing and promoting sports events that contribute to the local community in addition to having a membership of over 250 people. Gator Bowl Sports also aims to support and enhance the sports culture in Jacksonville through various charitable and community-focused initiatives.
Role Description
Three interns will be hired for the 2025-26 season to assist in various departments of Gator Bowl Sports. Interns become an extension of our staff and will work both individually and as a team on a variety of projects leading up to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
2025 Concentration Areas will include:

- Community Relations
- Events
- Marketing
- Membership Relations
- Operations
- Ticketing/Fan Services
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university program
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Availability to work Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in-person in Jacksonville (some evening/weekend work is required)
- Interest in sports and/or event management is a plus
