POSITION SUMMARY:
The position will be responsible for both packing and general assembly, which includes cleaning and packaging materials, loading items into containers, weighing and labeling the items appropriately. Additionally, this role will be responsible for following assembly instructions and correctly placing and attaching parts to create sub-assemblies or finished products.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The person filling this position will have a familiarity with working in a production environment and will be required to follow detailed instructions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives direct supervision from the Team lead and indirect supervision from the Department Manager. This position does not supervise any other position. This role is within the Electronics department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stacks and piles finished goods into containers.
- Wraps items securely and package them for shipping.
- Cleans and prepare containers for packing.
- Inspects containers to ensure they are damage free.
- Weighs and label items appropriately.
- Maintains detailed records of materials and shipments.
- Ensures all packed items make it to the loading area.
- Drills, cuts, and screws components and parts.
- Performs quality checks on products and parts.
- Performs routine area and equipment cleaning.
- Consults with supervisors to plan or review work activities.
- Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Able to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
- Experienced in a production environment.
- Must be efficient and careful not to damage items.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to organize items.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Frequent use of the arms, hands, and fingers is required to perform functions such as reaching, grabbing, pinching, picking, holding, and turning.
- Frequent use of hand and power tools weighing up to 15lbs.
- The employee is interchangeably required to sit, stand, and walk during their shift.
- Employees may be required to bend, stoop, or kneel to grab supplies and or materials.
- The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull or move objects across the production floor, weighing up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- The employee may be required to reach at or below shoulder level and reach overhead for short to moderate periods.
- Must be able to hear, understand, and distinguish sounds and speak clearly.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM must be willing and able to work some Saturdays or stay beyond scheduled shift if needed to meet business demands.
