Gaumer Process, since 1962, is a leading manufacturer of electric process heaters, controls and fuel gas conditioning systems for power plants, oil/natural gas value chain (upstream, midstream, downstream), Ammonia skids for NOx control applications and other high reliability markets.
Position Purpose
The Accounts Payable Specialist ensures that all invoices are paid to vendors in a timely manner, in accordance with vendor terms. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Sort and review incoming AP invoices, match to shipping slip and distribute for approval.
- Accurately determine and enter coding for vendor invoices.
- Enter AP invoices based on agreed terms and appropriate GL account.
- Prep invoices for payment and process ACH and check payments.
- Manage vendor and inter-company communications and payments.
- Setup new vendors in M1.
- Backup for processing expense reports and ensuring all support is attached.
- Manage and reconcile vendor statements and communicate any discrepancies.
- Verify all vendor invoiced/un-invoiced discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.
- File and maintain all AP files ensuring all support is attached.
- Provide AP support for the year-end annual review.
- Support with any internal and external request.
- Work with the team as needed to meet deadlines and accomplish accounting goals.
Office Administration Back Up:
- Back up for Office Receptionist - relief for absence/vacations
- Order business cards and office name plates
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related fields preferred
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
