Job Description:
At Gavia Lifecare Center we are currently seeking a full time administrative assistant to help manage our growing practice. This position would be supporting our team of mental health providers across our 4 locations, with the ability to float between these Greece, NY based locations as needed. This position would take place during the daytime hours, as our providers are in office from 8:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to 4:00pm Friday. The hours for this role will vary within that timeframe based off of clinic needs. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
Gavia Lifecare Center is an Office of Mental Health licensed outpatient behavioral healthcare center on the forefront of implementing integrated mental healthcare services independent of a large medical facility. We pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health counseling, medication management, and crisis services in an outpatient setting.
Essential Duties:
- Perform clerical duties including but not limited to; data entry, filing, scanning, faxing, etc.
- Answer phone calls and direct calls accordingly
- Assist in waitlist management
- Assist in processing intake phone calls and insurance
- Assist in processing and scheduling referrals from other community resources
- Greeting and checking in clients for their appointments
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Provide general support to clients and other visitors as needed.
- Perform general office support functions.
- Provide support to Gavia Lifecare Center's clients through various administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering questions, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Ability to take and pass an NYS Office of Mental Health background check.
- 2 years of experience working in a professional or medical office setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent required. Associates' degree strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 25 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
