Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Location: Castle Rock, CO (Hybrid 2 3 days onsite/week)
Compensation: Up to $185,000 full benefits
Clearance: CJIS background check drug screen (incl. THC)
The Opportunity
Lead the technology function for a newly created, justice-driven organization. This isn t your average CTO seat it s a ground-floor executive opportunity to design and operationalize the entire tech environment supporting public prosecutors, legal systems, and victim advocacy.

Core Responsibilities
- Architect and execute IT strategy across infrastructure, application, security, and M365 systems
- Collaborate with county IT, state stakeholders, vendors, and law enforcement
- Lead hands-on operations for case management and evidence systems (Action, Evidence.com)
- Build performance dashboards, influence budget planning, and establish future org design
- Report directly to the District Attorney, interfacing weekly with senior decision-makers
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8 years across infrastructure, security, application support, and Microsoft 365
- Proven leadership (Director-level or above), preferably in public-sector or high-compliance environments
- Track record of hands-on execution in lean IT teams with limited support
- Strategic mindset with the tactical chops to deliver day one
- Strong communicator comfortable presenting risk, impact, and budget justifications to executives
- Has built or scaled IT teams and systems in ambiguous, high-stakes settings
