Client in Castle Rock, CO looking to add a SDLC Project Manager to their team. The role is a Direct Hire position. This role is a hybrid position, working 2-3 days at the client's Castle Rock office.
The Software Project Manager will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, including clients, management, and team members, ensuring everyone is on the same page, acting as a subject matter expert and key support resource. They must have strong collaboration skills, be able to manage competing priorities, and have a deep understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the process of generating new ideas for products and services that align with the company's goals and growth strategy.
- Interact and collaborate with stakeholders on key product considerations and align product vision, features, and roadmap. Leverage customer insights, feedback, financials, compliance, and risk data to define product features and roadmaps in partnership with other SMEs.
- Build a project backlog and continuously keep it up to date. Hold meetings with the product team and stakeholders to continuously update backlog. Ensure software projects adhere to the highest quality standards
- Preparing project proposals and discussing potential projects with clients and stakeholders
- Discussing potential projects and their parameters with clients, executives, and software developers.
- Define functional and non-functional project requirements ensuring product acceptance criteria is being met. Create and validate user story acceptance criteria. Define and ensure appropriate testing frameworks for product features (e.g., market testing, functional performance, etc.) Inspect and evaluate product progress through each iteration.
- Facilitating project initiation by defining project scope and requirements, and preparing the necessary documents and requirements
- Participating in and collaborating and owning each stage of the project.
- Ensures all projects comply with Engineering SDLC (software design lifecycle) standards.
- Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
- Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages of completion.
- Tracking and documenting progress of milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
- Serving as a liaison to communicate project status updates to key stakeholders regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
- Facilitating team meetings and collaboration
- Liaising for changes and negotiations with relevant stakeholders
- Delivering completed software products to clients and performing regular checks on the products' performance.
- Closing the project and ensuring proper documentation
- Provide subject matter expertise on assigned products and services. Support sales efforts at all levels and ensure the creation of winning proposals.
- Actively manage and mitigate risk and customer-impacting issues day-to-day.
- Promptly, consistently, and effectively communicate to clients, partners, end-users, and stakeholders over the lifecycle of a software development.
- Provide top-tier technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including client end-users.
- Conducts in-depth troubleshooting of application errors, identifying root causes and coordinating solutions, if developer intervention is needed, to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate with developers to communicate user-reported issues and contribute to the development of patches and updates that address these issues.
- Assist users in application onboarding, configuration, and usage, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 4 years of proven experience in project management and software development.
- 4 years collaborating with software developers/engineers and product managers
- Proven experience in project management and software development.
- Knowledge and skills in Agile project management methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Adept at documenting application workflows and troubleshooting procedures.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Jira and GitHub.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work varied hours to achieve desired results.
