Assistant Electrical Project Manager
GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Waddell, AZ, looking to add an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to their team. The role is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for career growth in electrical project management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Electrical Project Manager with scheduling, budgeting, and site coordination.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders, ensuring accurate project documentation.
- Support high-voltage transformer design, installation, and commissioning.
- Oversee subcontractor management, vendor coordination, and bid evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, local electrical codes, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with construction, safety, and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.
- Prepare progress reports and updates for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in electrical contracting operations (Assistant PM, Project Engineer, or similar roles).
- Hands-on experience with RFIs, submittals, and change requests.
- Knowledge of high-voltage power distribution systems, transformers, and commissioning.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, Primavera, or similar project management software.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management (preferred but not required).
- Prior experience in data center builds or large-scale industrial electrical projects is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000
- Bonus: Quarterly performance-based bonus
