GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Denver, CO looking to add a Structured Cabling Technician to their team. The role is a contract position.

- Executes the essential duties and responsibilities of an Installer I, plus
- Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non-working equipment only and switchboard cable only)
- Lead verification/continuity testing
- May perform the duties of a Level III or Level IV Installer when directly supervised by properly qualified personnel
- Successfully interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Properly test and troubleshoot fiber/copper installations
- Discuss media selection and implications for implementation on the network
- Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards and best practices
- Interpret the job plan and scope of work, as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure
- Skills and Abilities Required:
- Requires a moderate amount of technical knowledge of current Network products with minimal training performed and recorded on Safety, Business Code of Conduct, Quality assurance and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
- Formal "Basic Installation” training course is required (or equivalent on the job training).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
- Sound knowledge of the phases of the product installation
- Electronics training equivalent to 1.5 years of technical trade school or military school, 1.5 years of field service, or equivalent as determined by Installation Manager
- Proficiency in the system (Network Elements 1, 2, or 3) being worked on
- Successful completion of Level II Skill Level test
