What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical QA/QC Inspector position at Gaylor Electric?
SCOPE OF WORK:
Read and understand Design packages for project
Read/understand/interpret job site specifications
Ability to set and maintain Quality Control goals through training
Ability to be self sufficient
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extensive knowledge of National Electrical Code and AHJ requirements
Coach and teach crew members new specifications, code changes
Maintain records/verification/test paperwork and supply as requested
Attention to detail while maintaining ability to meet deadlines
Must Display sound judgement and decision making
Minimum Requirements:
5 years’ experience as a QC in an industrial setting, as well as a background in commissioning.
Experience with CxAlloy would be ideal.
Proficient with the latest NEC, with a strong emphasis on Classified locations. NEMA Standards Publication VE for cable tray.
Thorough understanding of electrical/instrumentation work in refineries, gas plants, & data centers.
Ability to use and interpret contract drawings, schedule, and quality control plans relating to complex construction projects.
Strong communication skills used for reporting, documentation, and other communications.
Must be physically able to climb 160 plus feet up and down ladders of towers.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Prefer to have somebody with E&I QA/QC certifications.
Bi-lingual a plus
