The Patient Care Technician (PCT/CNA) performs a variety of patient care activities at Gaylord hospital. Working under the direction the RN, the PCT's have valuable exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and skills while working in a warm and friendly atmosphere with supportive, interdisciplinary teams. With an average patient length of stay 25 -30 days, the PCT is able to develop strong relationships and play a key role in the recovery of our patients.
Requirements:
- S. Diploma or GED required
- CNA, CPCT, CEMT, CMA or RMA required or equivalent Training Program
- Patient care experience preferred
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR Certification required prior to hire
WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift (7am- 3:30pm), 32 hours a week, every other weekend/holiday rotation

Milne Units: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
- Ventilator support and weaning
- LVAD patient population
- Heart Transplant population
Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:
- Stroke
- Complex wounds
- Telemetry
- Pulmonary care
Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Stroke
- Spinal cord Injury
