Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Environmental Services Aide (EVS) II cleans patient rooms, bathrooms, offices and halls, buffs floors and elevators and strips/ waxes floors and other areas by performing the following duties:
7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Every Other Weekend/holiday

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Environmental Services Aide (EVS) II cleans patient rooms, bathrooms, offices and halls, buffs floors and elevators and strips/ waxes floors and other areas by performing the following duties:
- Supports the assigned EVS 1 with discharge and cycle cleanings and patient room disinfection procedures
- Covers any position or assignment, as needed
- Supports/serves/cleans ancillary area (i.e. offices, staff rest room, nurses station, shower rooms, etc.)
- Strips/waxes areas, buffs rooms, cleans staircases, elevators, etc.
- Removes bulk trash, bulk hazardous waste, and restocks supplies
- Disinfects and sterilizes equipment in patient rooms
- Sweeps and mop floors
- Vacuums and extract rugs and carpets
- Dusts furniture and equipment
- Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills, etc.
- May be required to operate hospital vehicle to perform duties on campus and in hospital outpatient locations
- Performs other task and duties, as assigned or required
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Previous housekeeping experience required
- Current and valid CT driver's license required, if required to drive hospital vehicles
