Gazelle North America is seeking an experienced retail or hospitality professional for a part-time seasonal work opportunity. This role combines hospitality, brand education, and retail support centered around an exciting product line, Gazelle electric bikes and an iconic 132-year-old brand, Royal Dutch Gazelle. The ideal candidate will have experience in both retail and hospitality and be friendly, adaptable, and resourceful. A passion for all types of cycling is a major plus. 1 day per week and possible additional weekly half shifts to provide exceptional customer experiences to our visitors and customers.
The Gazelle Experience Center in Santa Cruz, California, serves as a premier destination for customers to explore and test ride Gazelle’s high-quality Dutch ebikes in a welcoming and no-sales-pressure environment. Designed to provide an immersive brand experience, the center offers expert guidance from knowledgeable ebike specialists who help visitors understand the features, benefits, and fit of different models. By creating a space where customers can learn, ride, and connect with the Gazelle community, the Experience Center plays a vital role in educating and inspiring riders to find the perfect ebike for their lifestyle. In addition, the Experience Center offers casual ebike rentals by the hour, peaking during the summer season.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Gazelle Experience Center by being delivering an exceptional experience for our customers
- Greet, support, guide, and educate guests of the Gazelle Experience Center
- Make bike rental reservations for customers using the rental reservation software
- Perform light bike maintenance on ebike demo fleet
- Support guests pre-ride with bike orientation and route suggestions
- Engage with guests’ post-ride with bicycle advice and locating local dealers
Skills & Experience Required:
- 2 years of experience working in a high-end retail and/or hospitality role, cycling retail or rental business experience ideal
- 1 years of experience in data entry or office administration role
- Excellent people skills with a passion for providing exceptional experiences
- Proactive, resourceful approach with a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience with POS (point of sale) systems preferred but not required
- Technical support experience or familiarity with bicycle mechanics a plus
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Ability to work weekends, work schedule is Saturdays, April through October
Language Skills
Ability to read, comprehend, and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

Salary Range
This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview with a potential range of up to $20 - $21/hour.
