Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate cost estimates for various projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction management, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed proposals.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and assess material costs, labor, and equipment needs.
  • Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing.
  • Prepare bid documents and present estimates to clients or stakeholders.
  • Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor bids and proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during the estimating process.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly within electrical or heavy construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control methods and construction management principles.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management practices and tools is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: $75,533.00 - $82,699.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
